Patrick Vallance the Government's Chief Science advisor who 'forgot' he had £600,000 in shares from GSK is set to become a multi-millionaire thanks to Vaccine manufacturing deal.
GSK has reached an agreement in principle with Novavax and the UK Government Vaccines Taskforce to support manufacturing of up to 60 million doses of Novavax’ COVID-19 vaccine candidate (NVX-CoV2373) for use in the UK. GSK will provide ‘fill and finish’ manufacturing capacity at its Barnard Castle facility in the North East of England beginning as early as May 2021, with a rapid technology transfer between the two companies beginning immediately.
The UK Government has secured 60 million doses of the vaccine under an advance purchase agreement with Novavax. The protein antigen component of NVX-CoV2373 is also produced in the North East of England by Novavax’ manufacturing partner, FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, at their site in Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees.
Unlike the AstraZeneka vaccine that has been 'not for profit', the Novavax version has international patents with the pharmaceuticals company charging commercial price for the product. The company stand to make billions from the vaccine as it will be sold worldwide in competition with other vaccines.
Matt Hancock has said that there is "no conflict of interest" with Vallance holding huge amounts of shares in the Pharmaceutical company but Vallance claiming there's a deadly plague outside our door and then selling us the cure is the very epitome of a 'conflict of interest'.
We previously noted that Covid Briefing were looking increasingly like Infomercials for big Pharma, with the public being pressured into taking the jab, and increasingly it is clear that those giving the briefings all have vested interests in the 'pandemic'.
