‘Freedom Bracelet’ Launched as Alternative to Lockdown
How the fuck is this freedom?
Israel has rolled out a tracking device that will be issued to citizens as an alternative to quarantine for anyone entering the country.
Although the device has been given the soft name Pure Care by manufacturers and the term 'Freedom Bracelet' by authorities it is really a rebranding of the ankle bracelets given to offenders for electronic tagging. No big surprise as the device, which looks a bit like a smart watch, is being produced by a company called SuperCom, who previously worked with governments of several countries on systems to track and monitor prisoners.
Ordan Trabelsi, the CEO of SuperCom, said “We call it a ‘freedom bracelet’ because we are not locking anybody up, but rather giving them the opportunity to go home.” Orwell would have been proud of the double speak there as the device has only one purpose; to allow the wearer to be tracked by the government if they try to leave their house.
Trabelsi then stated the authority line saying “Nobody is forced to do it, but for those who are interested, it gives them another option: more flexibility,”
Israel are, therefore, giving the choice of either being locked up for two weeks in a military-run quarantine camp, or having an electronic tag like a common criminal. This is not Freedom, no matter how many times you use the word.
Like the UK, who have been using Spy services GCHQ and the MOD to operate and surveil the Track and Trace app, Israel have used their own spy service, Shin Bet, to track virus cases.
The nation is has also implemented a Covid Apartheid where those who have been vaccinated have a ‘green pass’ to go where they want, and those who haven’t must stay under lockdown, which will also be adopted by Britain within weeks.
