Destroying the means of production, or Just Another Food Processing Plant 'Accident'?

Another food processing plant burned to the ground last weekend, the 98th to have suffered a catastrophic “accidental fires” in the US this year.

The poultry business in California is just the latest in nearly a hundred similar incidents, all food processing plants, that have fallen prey to accidental or unexplained fires right across the US.

Los Angeles-based KTLA reported QC Poultry processing plant in Montebello, California, located just east of East Los Angeles and southwest of San Gabriel Valley, caught fire around 1600 local time Sunday. Firefighters responded to the large industrial plant as heavy smoke billowed from the roof.

“As members [firefighters] began to deploy, the fire was upgraded to a third alarm commercial fire. Firefighters initially took a defensive stance and held the fire from spreading to any other nearby structures,” Montebello Fire Department said. The fire was declared “knocked down” by 2000 local time.

KTLA said there was no damage to other building structures nearby and that the fire’s cause is currently unknown.

Whilst one factory fire is insignificant it forms part of a much bigger picture that is happening right across the US. Literally dozens of food processing plants have been burned to the ground this year alone, raising serious questions about what is causing these fires.

This looks an awful lot like a coordinated attack on the food processing industry. Something that was dismissed as nonsense when only a dozen or so had been torched, but impossible to ignore now that the number is approaching a hundred.

One by one, someone is taking out America's food supply chain.

The fires are devastating the supply chain already under extreme pressure from the 'Green New Deal'. Farmers are being strangled by new laws supposedly to save the planet, and have warned that a famine will hit the US within months. Now it appears that another link in the food chain is under attack.
