Dangerous Ideology: Children Being Taught Black People Built Stonehenge

British schoolchildren are being taught that black people built Stonehenge — a claim so detached from historical reality it would be laughable, if it weren’t being spoon-fed to pupils in classrooms across the country.

This absurd rewriting of history comes courtesy of a book titled Brilliant Black British History, written by Nigerian-born 'British' author Atinuke and is now part of the curriculum being taught in UK schools.

The book boldly declares that the first Britons were black and that “Britain was a black country for more than 7,000 years before white people came.” It even asserts that black people were responsible for constructing Stonehenge — one of the most sophisticated prehistoric monuments in the world.

The push for these claims is part of a growing campaign said to be to “decolonise” the curriculum, but in reality is an Orwellian attempt to rewrite history in one where Black people invented, discovered, and built modernity. This fictional version of history is now being actively pushed by educational authorities desperate to appease ideological trends.

Let’s be clear: there is not a shred of serious archaeological evidence to support the idea that black Africans built Stonehenge. The megalithic monument was erected between 3000 and 2000 BC by Neolithic and early Bronze Age inhabitants of Britain — a population rooted in Western Europe.

At that time, sub-Saharan Africa had no structures whatsoever, no written language, and had not even discovered the wheel, something that they never achieved at any stage in their history - FACT. Multi-storey buildings didn't exist anywhere in sub-Saharan Africa either. Black people had rudimentary tools of flint and wood and lacked anything that would be needed to carve, transport, or arrange stones that could weigh up to 100 tonnes each. Stonehenge required advanced planning, tools, knowledge of physics, and a grasp of astronomy — feats entirely beyond any African people right up until Europeans arrived on the continent. It is a pure fantasy and yet it is routinely being taught as fact in our schools.

This is not an attempt to broaden historical understanding;; it’s an assault on truth in service of an ideology. The Policy Exchange think tank, which revealed the widespread use of this book, found that 83% of secondary schools have changed their history curricula to “decolonise” them — a process that often means sidelining core British history in favour of a sick WOKE ideology. White people are now either framed as oppressive colonisers that stole everything they own, or erased from history entirely. A wholesale replacement of evidence-based history with a toxic ideology.

Students are being fed lies, stories that serve more as political propaganda than academic instruction. One educational resource cited in the report even celebrated the genital mutilation of a slave as a form of "gender transition."

Historians and politicians from across the spectrum are pushing back. Lord Roberts stressed that teaching British history must go beyond cultivating shame. Former Education Secretaries Lord Blunkett and Nadhim Zahawi, along with ex-Schools Minister Sir Nick Gibb, have warned that the history curriculum is being hollowed out, with GCSE students graduating without ever learning about Britain’s most defining events.

This isn’t education. It's indoctrination — cloaked in the language of inclusion, but grounded in contempt for British history. Children leave school believing that they the descendants of evil people, when, in reality, Britain gave the world everything it now takes for granted. from the electric generator to the jet engine, from the computer to penicillin, everything that makes up modernity was invented, discovered, or made here in this island of wondrous peoples.

Our schools have become training grounds for ideological programming. History has now gone the way of biology, an entire rewrite of everything by socialists that are indoctrinating our children right under our very noses.
