E-Scooters: The Communist's Wet-Dream Unsafe at Any Speed


Dangerous, undignified, and part of the 15-Minute City Scam it's time Britain followed Paris, and banned the e-scooter entirely.


In 2020 a number of Labour Councils across Britain implemented 6 month ‘trials’ of e-scooters that, three years on, have no end in sight. The scooters are part of the NET ZERO / 15 Minute City scam and not really a ‘trial' at all.

Labour councils leapt on the idea of e-scooters, being something of a Communist's wet-dream. The state owns them; the state provides them; the state controls them; and the state tracks the users riding them. That harmless and convenient looking app that unlocks them gives the operator all your personal data; including your bank details, and then tracks you in real-time. Although councils can have them, privately owned e-scooters are still illegal on public roads, something that most councils aren’t too keen to make general knowledge.

E-scooters appeared on British streets in July 2020, rolled out whilst the country was under house arrest, in lockstep with LTNs, ZEZs, 20mph zones, and cycleways. To allow the new vehicles local authorities bypassed UK laws by issuing themselves new powers to operate them as 'trials'. The 'trials' actually finished in January 2021, with councils simply ignoring this deadline and extending them indefinitely.

E-Scooters Killed 12 people in just one year of trials.

In 2021, the first full year of trial data, there were 1,434 casualties and 12 deaths reported. Police say these numbers represent only a small proportion of the actual numbers as many go unreported. There are no figures on near-misses or how many collisions were caused by people trying to avoid e-scooters either. Even more alarmingly 2022 figures, though not completed yet, already show that collisions and injuries are still going up.


E-Scooters are 'unsafe at any speed'.

However, British 'trials' are not necessary as they have been trialled in other countries already. A major US study of e-scooters concluded that they were 'unsafe at any speed' .

E-Scooters haven't reduced congestion, pollution, or saved the planet.

However, councils are not measuring safety in any of their trials. No mention of how much congestion they have actually reduced either, or, for that matter, how much they’ve actually contributed to that all important 'saving the planet' goal. We're told such measurements are ridiculous, even though they are the very reasons e-scooters were introduced in the first place. ONS data reveals that e-scooters have had no effect on congestion either, car journeys have actually gone up, due mainly to the impracticality of e-scooters and probably due in part to what Elon Musk described as a 'lack of dignity' riding an e-scooter.


Paris BANS E-Scooters.

In the first vote of its kind, Paris residents voted overwhelmingly to ban e-scooters. The move comes after a rise in the number of accidents and complaints from its citizens. Contractors Lime, Dott and Tier had a total fleet of 15,000 e-scooters around the city between them, and every one has had to be removed.


Paris is one of the C40 cities with French bureaucrats attempting to make it a SMART CITY, however, when residents were actually asked if they wanted a Communist style transport system they said NO!
